2。5。 There were times I thought this would end up a DNF。 I’ve read many nonfiction memoirs and books about WWII/The Holocaust， so this fiction plot about a 19 year old girl jumping into the French resistance was reaching。 It was cliché， and the descriptions and the scattered use of French was repetitive。 I found the love story between Isabelle and Gaetan to be cheesy。 It was okay - the ending saved it。 Not KH’s best。
